HOW TO CREATE WORD COLLAGES

Recently I found this wonderful website which allows text to be collaged.Picasa the software by google allows you to do collage of pictures but gives upto  a limited options.
Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.
Take a look at the samples I have dont

YOU CANNOT PRINT CURRENCY USING PHOTOSHOP

Printing fake currency using recent versions of adobe photoshop and paint shop pro is disabled. In the times when producing fake currency using software means like photo copiers and printers a software based bank note detection system is required. The software detects by using the patterns found on the currency which belongs to the EURIon constellation a pattern of stars.

The EURion constellation is a pattern of symbols found on a number of banknote designs since about 1996. It is added to help software detect the presence of a banknote in a digital image. Such software can then block the user from reproducing banknotes to prevent counterfeiting using colour photocopiers.

The banknote detection code in these applications, called the Counterfeit Deterrence System (CDS), was designed by the Central Bank Counterfeit Deterrence Group and supplied to companies such as Adobe as a binary module. However, experiments by Steven J. Murdoch and others showed that this banknote detection code does not rely on the EURion pattern. It instead detects a digital watermark embedded in the images, developed by Digimarc

3D IMAGE SCANNER FROM REALVIEW.

Real-view has introduced a 3D Scanner which it claims to be the first desktop scanner that can scan and capture objects in a complete 360 degree view. Instead of uploading multiple images for viewing an object from different angles, as done with a 2D scanner, a 3D Desktop scanner can scan and paste a single 3 dimensional view of an object that can be viewed from any position with just a click of your mouse. This image can be uploaded into applications like Adobe Acrobat PDF files or any web page.

Though three dimensional printers are gaining some popularity in the consumer markets, they are rare and a 3D scanner is much more hard to find and are exorbitantly priced, in the realm

of tens of thousands of dollars. Now for the first time, Real-view has derived the 3D image capture technology which has been so far used in medical cameras, to come up with an affordable commercial 3D scanner.Though the size of the object that can be scanned is limited to whatever that will fit on its base, it is a big leap in the scanning technology.

There are three models of the Real-View 3-D Desktop Scanner that includes

The Real-View 360 3D, that scans in 360-degree VGA resolution;

The Real-View 360 3D HD, that scans in HD resolution;

The Real-View 360 3D Commercial, designed for larger format and kiosk applications.

SAMSUNG INTRODUCES 32 GB DDR3 RAM STICK

Samsung for the first time in the world presented the 32gb ram.In the age when the harddisks are hitting 2TB ram improvement is also required. But a normal 4gb of ram is enough for any computer with vista or some computer OS.

The DDR DRAM is not only faster then SDRAM, it also uses much less energy. A older 1GB DRAM chip required 144 different components, the new 4GB DRAM chip only uses 36 cutting the electricity used by around 70%.
The breakthrough behind the story is the development of a 50-nanometer, 4Gb (gigabit) (512MB) chips, which allow for a significant reduction in complexity, and therefore power consumption for currently popular sizes of RAM modules.

Samsung is targeting manufacturers' new generation of "green" PCs with its new technology, which will be used in 16-GB dual in-line memory modules, or RDIMM, for servers; 8-GB unbuffered DIMM for workstations and desktop PCs; and 8-GB small-outline DIMM for laptops.
I  Dont know how much they will cost when they enter the market I dont think normal computer users don't imagine to grab one

LOCATE YOUR FRIENDS USING GOOGLE LATITUDE

Gmail is about keeping you in touch with the people you care about, independent of the large, or sometimes small, distances that might separate you from them. That's precisely why email, IM, and voice and video chat are so powerful -- the "where" is irrelevant.

With Google Latitude, a new feature on Google Maps for mobile and a gadget for iGoogle coming out today, we're kind of turning that idea on its head, making the "where" matter again. Latitude allows you to see where your friends are located in real time on a map, anywhere in the world.

Use your Gmail account to join Latitude and you can specify which of your Gmail contacts can see your location. You can choose to automatically detect your best location, share city-level information only, set your location manually, or hide your location altogether. (To learn more about Google Latitude's privacy controls, check out this video.)

From within Latitude you can communicate with your friends via text message, Google Talk, Gmail, or a good old fashioned phone call. Your status messages and profile picture are synced with your Gmail account, so as you update them on the go, your Gmail contacts will see the changes in real time.

To try Google Latitude, go to google.com/latitude from your computer or your phone's mobile browser. Latitude is available on Android, Blackberry, S60, Winmo, and will be coming soon to the iPhone, through the Google Mobile App.

ACCESS GMAIL BEING OFFLINE

Google today announced the much awaited feature the offline gmail. Now you can access your inbox while youre not connected to the internet. So even if you're offline, you can open your web browser, go to gmail.com, and get to your mail just like you're used to.There will be no need to use outlook or something like that.
Once you turn on this feature, Gmail uses Gears to download a local cache of your mail. As long as you're connected to the network, that cache is synchronized with Gmail's servers. When you lose your connection, Gmail automatically switches to offline mode, and uses the data stored on your computer's hard drive instead of the information sent across the network. You can read messages, star and label them, and do all of the things you're used to doing while reading your webmail online. Any messages you send while offline will be placed in your outbox and automatically sent the next time Gmail detects a connection. And if you're on an unreliable or slow connection (like when you're "borrowing" your neighbor's wireless), you can choose to use "flaky connection mode," which is somewhere in between: it uses the local cache as if you were disconnected, but still synchronizes your mail with the server in the background
Offline Gmail is still an early experimental feature. It is currently available to the US and UK users.Soon it will be availablet to all the users.
To setup this feature:

  1. Click Settings and click the Labs tab.
  2. Select Enable next to Offline Gmail.
  3. Click Save Changes.
  4. After your browser reloads, you'll see a new "Offline0.1" link in the upper righthand corner of your account, next to your username. Click this link to start the offline set up process and download Gears if you don't already have it.

INTERNET EXPLORER 8 RELEASED TODAY

Microsoft today announced the 8th version of internet explorer. The version is named RC1.It stands for Release Candidate 1.Release candidate software is ready to be evaluated by users while it undergoes final testing. You may experience minor bugs or compatibility issues with websites while browsing. The microsoft is still trying to inject the silver light into the market by  giving notification while downloading the ie8.Dont know why the microsoft still tries..!!!.

RELEASE NOTES

This version comes with a lot of compatibility issues with google toolbar and skype etc for some of their versions. This version has the new click jacking protection. So what is click jacking??
Clickjacking lets hackers put a transparent filter on sites so they can view what information a user is accessing and what activities that user is doing, said James Pratt, an IE senior product manager at Microsoft. For example, if someone is on a bank Web site, attackers can use clickjacking to see the user's bank information and acquire passwords, and the user will not know the information is being viewed remotely, he said.
The security feature that thwarts clickjacking in IE8 RC1 allows Web-site content owners to put a tag in a page header that will help detect and prevent clickjacking. If a site that uses the IE8 tag detects clickjacking, it will give Web users an error screen letting them know that the content host has chosen not to allow that content, and gives them the option to open the content in a new window that is protected from the attack.
Microsoft also in RC1 expanded the functionality of a feature it introduced in the IE8 beta 2 release called InPrivate. InPrivate has two settings -- InPrivate Browsing, which lets users browse the Web without creating a record of where they've been or enabling cookies, and InPrivate Blocking, which has been renamed in RC1 to InPrivate Filtering.
Lets see what this version can do to change the firefox dominanace.

A resolution of 2880×900. Dimensions equivalent to two 24″ widescreen monitors standing end-to-end. DLP rear projection on a curved screen, with OLED illumination. An insignificant .02ms response time.
Alienware’s new curved monitor caused quite a stir when it was revealed here at CES. It seemed like the natural evolution of monitor technology had finally arrived. After all, the human eye is curved, so why shouldn’t our monitors curve too? What a great idea.
So is it that great? Well, it’s as quick as curved. Not that any of that means much right now, because this monitor has major problems.
One of the more intriguing technologies at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) being held this week is a 42-inch-long, curved monitor. Made by Alienware, the monitor is supposed to simulate peripheral vision. The sci-fi-like screen is aimed at gamers for a more immersive experience, although it might not be as suitable for design or text work.
If 42 inches is still not big enough for you, it’s possible to put two of these monitors side-by-side for a dual monitor configuration.

Another issue is the image quality. While the picture seemed sharp, it lacked color depth, appearing altogether faded. And ultimately, I care far more about image quality than the shape of the box.
CES was dominated by another display technology–3D glasses. Yes, the technology that has moved from gimmick to money-maker in the movie industry is still being pushed on the PC. And though it has progressed since the 90s, 3D gaming monitors and glasses still haven’t gotten to the point of usefulness. Every pair I tried left me disappointed and cross-eyed.
In the same way, I’m not sure this monitor is ready. It will surely be too expensive to even contemplate, requiring an even costlier PC to run a game at such a massive resolution. Beyond the obvious flaws that need to be addressed, it’s just plain bulky–and while I wouldn’t place the curving monitor into the realm of pure gimmick, in person, it only really qualifies as “neat.”

ABOUT: WHAT YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT FIREFOX

about: A simple prompt without any parameter will display the Mozilla “about” information. Since it’s accessible from the top menus as well, it’s not quite a hidden feature.
about:buildconfig Obviously, it will show the build platform configuration and parameters
about:cache Will display info and statistics regarding your disk’s cache, including the name of your cache’s directory and a list of the entries you can find there. By default, Firefox doesn’t allow you to view the cached webpages, so this can be an useful option.
about:config Oh look, many many info. Indeed, it’s the most complex and meaningful of them all. Careful on what you plan to change here, your browser won’t run properly after if you play with the wrong things.
about:plugins Of course, what is Firefox without it’s powerful extensions? This option will display detailed information about all the plugins installed for Mozilla Firefox.
about:credits It’s time to give the credit to whoever deserves it. There’s an alphabetically sorted list of all the people that gave their contribution to the development of Firefox.
about:Mozilla This is a weird thing. It will display the so-called “Book of Mozilla”. Something similar was present in Netscape too. There’s actually no real book although the quotations might give you that impression.

GOOGLE GDRIVE

To add to the list of services google is offering GDRIVE is the next in the queue.Gdrive is a cloud-based storage. The Gdrive is a desktop client that keeps local and online files and folders in two-directional sync via a web interface for accessing your desktop files anywhere and anytime. Just connect to any network-enabled computer.

In addition, it's integrated with other Google services to enable editing of supported documents, like spreadsheets and presentations via Google Docs, email via Gmail, images via Picasa Web Albums, etc.

The service has the potential to eclipse even Gmail, Google’s second best-known product after their google.com search engine. That said, it’s no wonder users have been ripe with anticipation for years - yes, that’s how long the rumors have persisted. Gdrive is basically online storage where Google servers have enough capacity to hold the entire contents of your hard drive. It will likely also come with enough brains to do cool tricks now with bigger things down the road - like booting your computer from online drive to load the Google operating system.

Think about it start working on a spreadsheet at home and continue via Gdrive interface at your local starbuck or cafe of choice. When you get home the changes you made to the spreadsheet have already trickled down to your desktop. Are you saying hey that's not new! of course it's not. Think about the power of Google's execution it could change the way the world works.
